Abstract

Based on state statistics, indicators of digitalization in Russia were identified and divided into six groups; variables were reduced and cluster analysis of the subjects of the Russian Federation was performed. Six subjects with minimax values were preliminarily removed from further analysis. Three clusters were identified, differing in the number of subjects: with a low (17 subjects), medium (38 subjects) and high (23 subjects) level of digitalization. The analysis showed that digitalization as a phenomenon has long gone beyond the technological direction alone. The manifestation of digitalization resulted in the introduction of digital technologies in the financial sector, the creation of the state Internet portal "Gosuslugi" and the emergence of eSports as part of modern digital culture. The influence of national projects and state programs implemented in the Russian Federation is noted.
